IMO they are the only good thing to come out of the Real Housewives series. I felt they gave good advice for skin care and skin procedures. I was especially impressed with Heather's suggestion for beauty and skin care products. Many of the products she uses are affordable and have the backing of many dermatologists (including her skin doctor husband).IMO they are the only good thing to come out of the Real Housewives series. The author didn't focus much on his crime in this book. His story is about surviving jail and prison. And trying to stay on the right side of a gang as well as prison staff. He had a few very amusing stories including his brush with Charles Manson.

This story shows how unpredictable and downright dangerous life can be overseas. In this case, the author not only was almost murdered on a busy Pakistan road in broad daylight but jailed for murder after defending himself. Disappointing. A rehash of every other organizing book out there. The one thing I did like is the author emphasizing how overwhelming organizing and de-junking can be. Keep at it! My trick- tackle small spaces like a few shelves, a closet or de-clutter table tops. Then work up to bigger jobs. Best advice I ever got is to get a couple of cheap timers. I have one for each floor. If I have 10 or 15 minutes then that's what I dedicate to a task. It adds up!Disappointing. A rehash of every other organizing book out there. We all know the gory details of this story. What I liked about this book is how Mary Jo was able to pick up on all the ear markings of Joey being a sociopath (she found this out far too late, unfortunately!). Joey has many of the classic symptoms. The best thing you can do if you have a sociopath in your life is run. I enjoyed reading about the author's grandmother who concocted many homemade products (masks mostly) from her garden. Some of the recipes are included in the book. The author's family is responsible for the Caudelie line of skin care products. I was especially interested in the resveritrol (found in grapes/wines) connection to good skin.

Some deep wounds here. And not just because of being overweight. The book opens with a seminar attended by the author and her father on bariatric surgery. I do believe it can help some but it's sad to see it sold in a "sales seminar" fashion with hardly any screening. It was not what I expected. He writes of Nicole's personal life (not enough in my opinion) and uses a chapter for each of her films. My favorites were the chapters on "Dead Calm" and "Eyes Wide Shut".
I had no idea Kidman was so driven. The author constantly points this out.

Two books I would recommend on this subject (both NON fiction) are "The making of a surgeon" by Dr William Nolan and "Five Patients" by Michael Crichton.
