I have to agree with the majority of the other reviews on this one. I find mental health incredibly fascinating in a completely dark way. Its ability to debilitate not only the sufferer, but also those around them is something that remains…Read moreRead more of this comment

I thought it was an interesting perspective on mental illness from the caregiver’s perspective. It was very honest about their experience on learning how to work on their dynamic as a couple and becoming a team.

This true story is about the author's wife developing a psychosis and their experiences with the American mental health system, and how her illness affected him. I found it boring and skimmed through it to finish it.

I was rather disappointed in this memoir. I think it was because I expected more about the wife's experience with the diagnosis of mental illness and the treatment, but the entire story was from the perspective of her husband. Perhaps the…Read moreRead more of this comment

After hearing the author tell a story about the unanticipated onset of his wife's mental illness I was interested to learn more of their story. This book satisfied that itch.

Tremendous. A beautiful memoir about love being shattered and rebuilt in the face of daunting mental illness. Highly recommend if you're looking for something to make you believe in the power of love and commitment.
