Explore Fall Holidays- Mid-Autumn Moon Festival
Many cultures celebrate in the fall, thankful for a good harvest. The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival is a big celebration for many Chinese and Vietnamese people, and is also related to the Chuseok holiday in Korea and Tsukimi Festival in Japan. The festival is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar when the moon is at its very fullest and roundest. On our calendar this event usually happens sometime between mid-September and early October.
