Harry is back for another year at Hogwarts - happy to put the dreadful year behind him. Still reeling from the death of his godfather, he tries to cope with the sadness and move on. However, Lord Voldemort grows ever stronger as the Ministry of Magic slowly begins to crumble... the sense of normalcy will finally begin to fadeaway as Lord Voldemort makes his move to control the Wizarding World.
This book is heavily centered around the dynamic between Harry and Dumbledore. Their "private lessons" give much needed insight into the backstory of Lord Voldemort. One thing I personally enjoyed was the introduction of Horace Slughorn and his relationship with Harry. It was refreshing to see a teacher absolutely fawn on Harry, especially in Potions - which is usually Harry's worst subject. Overall, it was a very fun read. However, this was a dark book with some death. 13+
