This book was recommended by a good friend and initially I had my doubts about it. Having grown up near a 'reform' school I thought this would bring back too much I preferred remained forgotten. But I have been following the news articles about the 'school' in FL. So I am glad I gave this book a chance. Broken into three sections it is engrossing from the very beginning. The main character surviving and prospering as he does - then coming back to bear witness is (perhaps) too wishful. In spite of this 'the Nickel Boys' is a great story.
