This is an another excellent entry in the entertaining Cormoran Strike series by Robert Galbraith, aka J. K. Rowling. This book is very long and slow-paced compared to the first three books in the series. Because I like the main characters so much and enjoyed Galbraith's descriptions and details, I did enjoy this very leisurely paced book and did not mind its ponderous length. The plot is suitably labyrinthine, with a surfeit of characters and some twists and turns. A lot of time is spent detailing Strike's and his partner Robin's personal lives. If you are looking for a fast-paced page-turning thriller, this book may not be what you are looking for, but if you are looking for a character-driven story with a good mystery thrown in, then this is a great read. I was also pleased that this fourth book was a lot less grisly and nasty than the last two books in the series. I will definitely look forward to another book in this series!
