I can appreciate a beautifully directed, written, and produced movie. This isn't any of those things. This is garbage. Aside from Marie Antoinette, Coppola really is showing herself to be a one-trick pony, where it seems the only point of her films is to show how vacuous life can be. That's interesting once, but there's a reason movies are edited rather than showing life in real time. It's because most of the time that's a complete snooze-fest, and if that's the point of this movie, we get it in the first five minutes and then are smothered with it for the rest of the film.
