Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino was an ‘okay’ manga. In my opinion I found Vampire Knight to be very confusing and slightly disturbing. The overall plot is about a young teenage girl named Yuki who attends a school that by day is a school for regular human beings but by night is a school for blood sucking vampires. Yuki herself is a human but she has friends that are vampires. She is a girl who cannot remember much about her past, but it becomes known by her that a certain vampire that shows a lot of interest in her knows everything about her past. The story overall is good and the artwork for the manga is spectacular. However, I found myself reading the manga and scratching my head a few times during some parts, especially in the beginning. I personally wasn’t a huge fan of this series, however many friends of mine and people that I know really enjoyed the Vampire Knight series. In my opinion it was just okay, it was nothing special. I would like to warn though, that this series does contain content that is filled with violence and a lot of awkward and disturbing matter that made even me feel uncomfortable while reading it. I don’t think Vampire Knight is a read for the younger kids, however if your 13 and over you should be okay. Overall I would rate Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino a 6/10, it was an alright manga, but you could definitely find something better to read.
