There's nothing like a good deli, and the Red River Deli in Trenton is one of the best. World-famous for its pastrami, cole slaw, and for its disappearing managers. Over the last month, three have vanished from the face of the earth, and the only clue in each case is one shoe that's been left behind. The police are baffled. Lula is convinced that it's a case of alien abduction. Whatever it is, they'd better figure out what's going on before they lose their new manager, Ms. Stephanie Plum

For the most part I'm a fairly serious reader, but when there's a new "Stephanie adventure," whatever book I'm in the middle of gets chucked aside w/out hesitation!
There was one slight disappointment for me, and that is that Grandma Mazur isn't part of the story, but other than that, I give it 5 stars!

While I finished reading it...….I didn't enjoy it at all!

Standard Evanovich fare with Stephanie & Lula makes for a quick, light-hearted read. The typical cast of characters is here, with a small appearance from Wulf (from the Lizzy & Diesel series) to bring in a hint of the paranormal. While it reads like all the others, there are a few standards tropes she doesn't employ this time around. If you've liked the others, you'll probably enjoy this one as well, but if you're looking for any kind of resolution or progress to Stephanie's life, forget it.

I have enjoyed Janet Evanovich's "numbered' titles for a long time. However, I wont't be looking to read any more of the Stephanie Plum series. That is not to say I didn't laugh pretty hard at times with TWENTY-FIVE, because I did. I typically like good crime, thriller and adventure books. I liked the Stephanie Plum series because there was always a good story behind the title and a great sprinkling of characters with some great humor thrown in. However, with this latest book, it just got way too silly for me. So I will keep looking for Janet Evanovich's non-Plum books as always, but this is it Stephanie. Sorry, I enjoyed it while it lasted.

Lots and lots of Ranger ( <3 ) , but I really don't like Wulf (or that theme, or Diesel)....fairly ridiculous, as always. Missed Grandma Mazur and the family interactions in this one too...I'll still read the next one though...gotta find out how it all ends.

I liked the plot in this book and having main characters work in a deli was funny . But I don't see the point in Lula. She is too American Walmart shopper for me. Fire her.

All of 'The Berg' characters we've come to know and love keep this latest Stephanie Plum novel a fun-loving, fast read.

Stephanie & Lula find themselves working at a diner when Vinnie's bond guarantee has him inheriting a sandwich & Fries establishment.

My favorite conversation in this book sums up all of the romance conflict we've come to expect too.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but you're going to have to take her home with you." Morelli said to Ranger. "No problem." Ranger said "Let me know when you want her back."

Grandma M sets up the next novel as she rides off with her latest boyfriend.
