Didn't realize that actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, GOT's Jaime Lannister, is such a big guy as in this action prison drama. The film is an eye opener about a man who intent to pay his dues for a DUI manslaughter crime but found himself rising in the prison gang ranks. Over time, his moral compass changed and chose to abide by the gang rules: "You got your rules and we got the gang's rules. And theirs matter." Thought provoking concerning the well beings of institutionalized inmates in our penal system.

Gritty, violent story about a man, unwittingly, being pulled into the Aryan Brotherhood.
The dialogue and acting are both spot on and unnervingly realistic. The actors, quite obviously, spent some time with actual Convicts prior to filming.

Everything seems a little rushed here though. They try to pack so much into a short period of time. This could have, easily, been a modern Godfather trilogy.
And, the ending? Well, it's a little absurd and kinda depressing.
It's OK. But, not really worth writing home about.
