I thought this was perfect... moving and very unsentimental. the uniqueness of each character reminded me so much of real life and the circle of people we all acquire-flawed people are my favorites!!

Grim, end-of-life bio of a repressed Icelandic woman who breaks with her strict Lutheran upbringing for love but loses all to Hitler. Success in business but that's cold comfort in face of lost love, estranged family.
