I've seen the old film with Olivia de Havilland, the BBC TV production from the '80s, and a recent-ish radio production with Damian Lewis. Those productions were all pretty good. This one, sadly, is very dull. It's poorly scripted by director, Roger Michell. Sam Claflin who plays the lead is not a bad actor, but he lacks charisma. Rachel Weisz is okay, but even she can't win against a miasma of a script. They even tacked on an ending noticeably absent from Daphne Du Maurier's book. Give it a miss.
