Halloween Night, 1954. A young, film-obsessed scriptwriter has just been hired at one of the great studios. An anonymous investigation leads from the giant Maximus Films backlot to an eerie graveyard separated from the studio by a single wall. A wonderful trip to 1950s Hollywood seen through the eyes of a semi-self loathing screenwriter who becomes embroiled in a delightful mystery laden land filled with a cast of unforgettable characters. Quite funny, albeit odd, dialogue between the characters and a sense of constant danger from the evil that can be done by Hollywood's upper echelon keeps the reader entertained throughout. A Graveyard for Lunatics is a quick enjoyable read that has easily turned me into a Bradbury fan.
