Never knew about "the talk" - certainly needed but unfortunate never the less. We see blacks and cops interact and the results aren't pretty. Watching the police take down of a pastor was ugly enough. I got bored mid-way when the police step in and tell their longf winded side of the story - the sensitivity training, building bridges to the community - I think Orwell called it double speak didn't he?

And every time I hear black or African american, I sub in the words first nations - lots of parallelisms. Lots of people of colour being born into a world that creates problems for them. This conversation has been going on as long as I have been alive - no change. What is the future. You see the answers in the last 20 mins of the docs. Will it work?

Powerful statement at the end....the "Is the pain therapeutic?" speech - a very good observation.
