I dont intend to read this book, but I read the summary and let me tell you this, the summary of this book reminds me of the one episode in Arthur where Francine and Arthur get trapped in the library together.
This book is a classic romance novel, where the main character thinks she will not ever fall in love with the other main character, whom she is stuck in the library with. the become friends and promise to become nothing more because the main character thinks she is supposed to date another guy, who she soon realizes is not for her. I will not say anything more about this wonderful book, because I would not want to spoil it. with that being said, my last and final words are this: This book is amazing, and you should read it. Pay no attention to the comment by the TEENREVIEWBOARD. It is not true.
Getting trapped in the library is a childhood dream come true for some people. Imagine the days spent in a building full of books, with no responsibilities, without your parents nagging you to finish your homework or chores. This situation is exactly what the main character, Autumn, went through. For some stupid idiotic reason, she managed to get herself trapped in a library. The author, Kasie West, managed to take an idea like this and spin it into some tedious, cliché filled novel. Everything about this book is so unrealistic and predictable, it was clear at the beginning who Autumn would fall for. To make matters worse, Autumn is such an irritating brat, I couldn’t even finish this book because she made me sooo ANGRY. Seriously, who’s stupid enough to get trapped in the library? Autumn is locked in the local library for the long weekend, with her is none other than the school troublemaker Dax. Not exactly her first choice when she could have been at a bonfire with her crush who has finally been showing her some interest. Autumn thinks it's going to be a long and awkward weekend until she finds out that Dax isn't as bad as everyone has made him out to be.
I only got through a couple chapters before deciding not to finish this book because the concept just didn't interest me, although I’ve loved all of the other books that Kasie has written. Just the idea of being locked in a public building with no way out for a whole weekend just seemed really unrealistic. Might try it again at another time but not for now.
