A comedy which inspires more amusement than outright laughs but if you're any sort of fan of the rock-star bio-pic this will surely be in your wheelhouse. A couple of hours of mindless fun, I enjoyed this movie.

Another mockumentary along the lines of "Fear of a Black Hat" or "This is Spinal Tap". Makes fun of the modern pop music, with spoofs of over-sharing stars and silly entourage jobs. I found it laugh out loud in some areas, sometimes it was worth a chuckle or groan. Don't know if it will become a classic like Spinal Tap but I remain hopeful.

The film had some funny bits and the basic plot were fine, but the mockumentary style destroyed this film. The horrible editing and style made you feel nothing for the characters. Yes, it's a silly comedy but it didn't hold together like a real movie.

This film has little to offer. The actual film was more like a rapid slideshow. Excessive use of short scenes. Very distracting.

I like Andy Samberg in Brooklyn 99 but this is kind of a mess. I imagine that he was a huge fan of The Beastie Boys and this is somewhat of an homage to them. I was constantly about to hit the eject button but bravely saw it thru to the end. The biggest problem is that hip-hop is such an utterly horrible genre of music that not even making fun of it is entertaining. Only one of the songs was at all funny. And then there were around a million cameos of bad "musicians" doing or saying "wacky" things. It was painful.

I think they had good characters, concept, and plot, but making it a mocumentary didn't really make it work. I like Lonely Island, so the type of humor was just up my alley, but it wasn't executed well as a movie. I would say pass on the movie, and maybe watch the "Music Video's" on youtube or something as they are better than the actual movie. The best video's weren't even fully played out on the movie.

Popstar Never Stop Never Stopping is a pretty funny mockumentary by the Lonely Island guys. The film follows Conner Friel, an ex member of the Style Boyz boyband. It follows his life and career as a solo artist, and the downfall of his solo career. The jokes in this film are a mix of an Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell movie. It’s both stupid and raunchy, but does have a few jokes that are genuinely funny. What I do like about this film is the music. The songs for this film are raunchy and stupid just like the film, but are very catchy. I like that they incorporated their musical abilities to this film. Popstar feels like a Lonely Island album that got turned into a movie. I would definitely recommend this movie if your humour is a bit raunchy, or if you love The Lonely Island.

quite funny and like Spinal Tap for the modern audience. Fun at times but missing the sharp humour to make it a cult gem. Feels like it's made for the Sandler crowd instead of the sophisticated crowd to give it cult status.

An hour and 20 minutes of my life I will never get back. It is, hands down, the worst movie I have ever seen. What a waste of film.

From my viewpoint, this mockumentary isn't destined to become a comedy classic. It has some very funny moments though, and I enjoyed the cast (including many familiar faces in very small roles), cameos and pop culture references. The movie is rated R for some graphic nudity, language throughout, sexual content and drug use.
