An engaging, fast-paced sequel to Lowriders in Space. The illustrations by Raul the Third are even better than in the original! The Lowriders journey to the center of the earth to find their missing cat, Genie. The center of the earth is filled with lots of creepy skeletons and ancient Aztec gods...but where's Genie? The Lowriders must use their killer ride, mechanical mojo, scientific reasoning, and the help of La Llorona (yes, really) to find their adorable orange tomcat. Lots of fun and Spanish puns.

Original, clever, couched in culture, and beautifully drawn. I found it much too loud and busy for my tastes, but I think there are many who will love it, particularly how it reflects their experiences in a way that few other books do.
