Good read about the history of the complex science of meteorology. Of even greater interest as the earth is faced with more extreme weather brought about by climate change. The science is set against the backdrop of a sailing expedition of a man and his wife from Galveston to Guatemala. Most interesting because they are really very novice sailors and the boat lacks some features that would provide a level of safety that they could have benefitted from.
