Island of the Sun is the second book in the Dark Gravity Sequence trilogy. If you haven’t read the first book, The Arctic Code, then I would definitely recommend reading that first. It’s a great trilogy, filled with action and adventure. In this book, Eleanor and her group have yet to complete their mission to save the world from the terrible ice age that is consuming the world. Now that they’ve shut down the concentrator in the Arctic, they have to pick their next destination, all the while running from the GET. They’ve been labeled as global terrorists, and face danger constantly. Rifts in their group and a plot that twists every which way keep the novel moving forward quickly and create a sense of urgency. Eleanor is a great main character to follow, creative and exciting. I would definitely recommend this trilogy to readers around the late elementary school ages.
