Was an entertaining story

Guess I was in a light-hearted mood when I watched this because I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story line was farcical, and there were more twists and tangles than I expected, but I took away a sense of appreciation for the narrator's point of view. Simple, sweet, unassuming. Her positive spin on things kept me from becoming too engrossed in the emotional upheavals that would ordinarily take place in such circumstances. I also enjoyed Jennifer Anniston's portrayal of the worst therapist in the world. Ha! An engaging NYC story about the interconnectnedness of people and their expectations of life.

Excellent. Funny and likeable. Owen Wilson does a good job - he seems to have an instinct for good scripts. Jennifer Anniston playing against type is worth watching.
It's mostly about two things - dialogue, and farce. Tangled webs.
Recommend.

Dreadfully typical New York garbage film. It would even make Woody Allen ill.

Awful. Painfully unfunny. Not charming. Stupid script. Bogdanovich should have QUIT after Last Picture Show. His dreadful little pastiches were never good. "She's Funny That Way" sets a new low. I enjoyed They All Laughed, but Bogdo can't recapture that mood.

Quirky, some fun moments. Too much narration instead of action.

I really liked this movie. Imogen Poots is engaging and smart in this funny riff on life in New York and the theatre. Owen Wilson does a credible job with the character he's playing and only Jennifer Aniston's character is over the top and somewhat irritating.

I do not like Wilson at all. Maybe a good fantasy for men who just do not have their lives in rhythm with the other people in their lives.

A few funny moments in this contrived farce about relationships in the New York theater world and their interconnected experiences.

Kind of like a Woody Allen movie, just not as clever.
