I want all of my granddaughters to watch this movie. There may be somewhat of a curve between their understanding of the world and mine, but there must not be any difference in our understanding of our roles in this world, of basic human rights, and of the importance of each voice pronouncing light over darkness.

I showed this to my 10 year old after screening it first. An important young woman that all young people should know about.

A documentary that is as heartbreaking as it is uplifting. Malala Yousafzai is such an impassioned and enigmatic speaker that you cannot help but be moved by her cause. There are many endearing moments throughout this film, some favorites were between Malala and her family. It is so easy to forget among all her accolades that, in the end, she is just an average teenage girl! This film is a prime example of how truly similar we are, regardless of where we live, who we worship, and economic status.

This brave young girl is quite a role model deserving of a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. She continues to inspire and use her voice to promote education as a way to make this world a better place. She is definitely a positive light and wears her name well. Malala, a symbol of bravery and courage!

Fantastic documentary about Malala's life thus far providing much more insight into her personality and courage. Truly inspiring. Watch this with your children the next time they complain about going to school.
