A very appealing Farrell in one of his first starring roles in a Hollywood film; Willis is also very effective. Marcel Iures is splendid as the Camp Commandant. Excellent production: great plane sequences, explosions, jeep crash, etc. Yet for me there has always been something "off" here, characters just a little too cut and dried, maybe.

I seldom watch a "war" movie but this one was fascinating. No fighting or violence. Both Willis and particularly Farrel give fine performances. Great ending!
