This book a a very very mild ghost story. It's told from the perspective of the main girl ghost. It was an easy read but the story was a bit weak. The story was sort of like a behind the scenes of hauntings.

This is a good ghost story for young adult readers who don't want too much horror or scare. A teen and her family go to fix up a haunted building that used to be an asylum. While she is in a room she dies mysteriously and as a ghost she has to learn what happened to her, meet other ghosts, and try and figure out what is going on with the house and why nobody can move on. There is mystery in this story with several ghosts that are not who they appear to be. The main character learns who she is in death when she was not able to do while alive.

Wow! I loved this book! It was so interesting and somewhat scary. I really enjoyed reading it and would recommend to anyone who enjoys scary haunted asylum stories and also YA.

After Delia’s Aunt dies and leaves her a house that was once used to hold troubled women, things start to go south. After the incident, Delia has to do everything she can to get out of this house. Is she strong enough to leave or will she be trapped there forever like the other inmates? An amazing story that makes you sit on the edge of your seat the whole time. Full of unexpected twists and turns you'll want to keep reading until the very end. Rating 4.5 out of 5 stars.

The very beginning and the ending were the best parts of this book. It was a more unique horror novel (from what I've seen) but it just wasn't extraordinary enough to boost the rating.

The book was really good. The author used good wording to describe not just the character's situation, but also the scene it's taking place. It also has very good character development.

If you like American Horror Story this is worth a look. Take a teenager who has recently done something stupid, said teenager inheriting an old house from a distant relation, said house being a former asylum for 'troubled females', and add ghosts and murder. There's something in the house and it wants something. The question Delia has to face is what that is. Also how to get rid of it before her entire family is trapped there.

It's a quick read, certainly creepy, and full of enough haunted building tropes while still being interesting.
