I loved this sweet book and it reminded me of my own childhood. When I met someone from Haiti for the first time and he told me he had grown up playing soccer with a ball made out of rolled up socks (either he didn't use newspaper or I have forgotten that part in the intervening 40 years). I tried to make a ball out of socks and kick it. It did not work for me at all, and I gained more respect for players from poor countries.
