Although I think a lot of the information in the book is important, I agree with some other reviews I've read that much of it seems familiar. This in itself is not why I chose to put down the book, as I think its important to remind myself why I don't eat anything from factory farms. I did not like the writing style and frequent use of the phrases "as a male" and "as a female". I thought that for this type of book it was a little too colloquial, in an uncomfortable, rather than funny or familiar, way.
