“How To Train Your Dragon 2” the newest edition in the trilogy by DreamWorks Animation, was a very entertaining movie from start to finish. As with “How To Train Your Dragon,” the movie is brimming with personality and intrigue. As with the previous movie, the dragons were the main attraction, with a plethora of new dragons that have very interesting features exclusive to them, and often having just as much personality as the actual humans. It’s also because of the dragons that the world feels bigger and friendly as a whole. The introduction of Hiccups’ long-lost mother was a welcome edition, as she brought her large of knowledge of dragons, a plethora of more dragons, including the Alpha dragon, but also the reunion with both Hiccup and Stoik. The main antagonist of the movie was a bit flat in my opinion. The movie tried to sell the villain as someone to be feared, but it didn’t do it fully for me. I’m also wondering how he could truly control a legion of dragons just by yelling at them. Really? I guess it’s realistic that he could do it to smaller dragons, but the Alpha dragon? Now that’s not believable. I highly doubt by shouting, you can control a dragon that’s the size and height of half a dozen skyscrapers to just follow your every beck and call. Even some of the battles with him in it were lacklustre, and his apparent death was anticlimactic. All-in-all, an enjoyable movie for the most part. A good family for the family to enjoy. 3.8 / 5.

best so far so exited to see httyd 3

Wow, I did not expect I would ever rate this movie this highly, but it actually earns it. Character growth, impressive visuals, honest dialogue, genuine humor, a compelling plot, and real consequences. A lot of popular, particularly Disney, movies get away with fake-out deaths or high stakes that never truly endanger the protagonists by dint of being protagonists; not so in HTTYD2, where the repercussions for failure are all too real. I enjoyed watching this movie.

How To Train Your Dragon 2 is a solid movie, with a gorgeous aesthetic. The scenes are beautifully animated and have great sound tracks to match. Many scenes invoke strong emotions and help immerse the viewer into this fantastical world. There are some points in movie that will be lost of viewers if they have not seen the TV series such as the time skip between this movie and the first. The movies plot twist, I found dull and slightly predictable. The final confrontation also felt cheap with an almost "deus ex machina" conclusion. How To Train Your Dragon 2 isn't a bad movie by any means, but I feel that it isn't the sequel that the original deserved. Rating: 3 out of 5

As you all probably know, the first movie was amazing and honestly, this one was just as good. We got to see the characters develop even further and omg Toothless got even cuter. The animation was amazing and was very well made. But this movie is a little sad as well, which is a good thing because it was able to bring emotion. Some animated movies are really lame and the problem that the characters face isn't interesting but this is not the case for this movie. I showed this movie to my friends and little cousins and they all loved it just like I did. I totally recommend this movie to kids aged 4-12. I give this movie a 4.7 out of 5 stars. Go give this movie a watch, you will not be disappointed.

Cool movie. I find myself watching it again and again.

I can't beleive their going to make a third movie. I don't think it's going to be very good, judging by the trailer.
