Great book book that should be read by everyone. It marks a very good start for the very good series "Five kingdoms"!

Sky Raiders is a really great book. It’s full of amazing characters and has an extremely creative world. I love this book because the outskirts is such an original idea. I didn’t like the beginning as much as the rest of the book, because there was a gross part, but I’m so glad that I kept reading! I love how it’s funny. I really enjoy reading about the Outskirts, because it’s like going back in time, but with magic. I like reading fantasy books so this book is perfect for me. If you like fantasy then definitely read Sky Raiders. 4.5/5 stars

Skyraiders is the first book in a 5 book series. The author starts his book with a great hook and keeps the readers attention throughout the whole book. He does a good job with his descriptions. He doesn't keep droning on and on about them and still leaves enough room for the readers imagination. All in all, I would rec commend this book to anyone who asks. 5/5 stars - SAPL Teen Read It & Review Contributor

This was such a fun book! I can't wait to finish reading the whole series. I definitely recommend to anyone who is even slightly interested in fantasy.

I really enjoy this type of Fiction. It is a fantasy set in a different world as we know from the first book. A pre-modern era but with magic and spells. This series also reminds me of the Unwanteds, another terrific series with magic and trying to take down an evil tyrant.

This book is about a boy who gets stuck in another world. He goes on an epic adventure to save his friends. Running from the law as a rebel, he gains many friends on a mission. If you want to know what happens, read the book. - William

I LOVE Brandon Mull's writing, especially his world-building and in Sky Raiders in my opinion it is at his finest so far. It was just so fun to read about and I didn't want it to end! The ideas of sky castles and shaping and all the little boy (what was his name again?) made in his world Cole had to travel through Mull has are amazing.

Brandon Mull is an amazing author (though Beyonders disappointed me at the end), and I was really excited to hear of the Five Kingdoms series. I recommend this book to anyone who loves adventure or simply likes a good book!

This intriguing book by the amazing Brandon Mull follows a sixth-grade boy through a portal into another world called The Outskirts. What new adventures await him in this strange, dream-like place? Can he find his friends before something terrible happens to them? Will he ever find a way to go home and stay there? So many questions, and so many pages filled with action and juicy description! ;)

Cole Randolph was just trying to have a fun time with his friends on Halloween (and maybe get to know Jenna Hunt a little better). But when a spooky haunted house turns out to be a portal to something much creepier, Cole finds himself on an adventure on a whole different level.

After Cole sees his friends whisked away to some mysterious place underneath the haunted house, he dives in after them—and ends up in The Outskirts.

The Outskirts are made up of five kingdoms that lie between wakefulness and dreaming, reality and imagination, life and death. It’s an in-between place. Some people are born there. Some find their way there from our world, or from other worlds.

And once you come to the Outskirts, it’s very hard to leave.

With the magic of the Outskirts starting to unravel, it’s up to Cole and an unusual girl named Mira to rescue his friends, set things right in the Outskirts, and hopefully find his way back home…before his existence is forgotten.
