Let nothing stand between you and your life goals; be it friendship, relationships or the literal end of the world. Worth it.

This is a 2013 British SF supposedly comical drama directed by Edgar Wright.
It is the third and final film in the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, following Shaun of the Dead (2004) and Hot Fuzz (2007).
Although it is supposed to be funny, it doesn't seem to me funny at all because all the actors are overacting unnaturally.
I feel like as if canned laughters forced me to laugh my head off, but I remain dead-silent and frozen to death.
It is NOT definitely my cup of tea.

By far the weakest link in the Cornetto Trilogy but fans of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz will find some things to appreciate here.

Simon Pegg does his nerd sci-fi comedy thing. Not annoying, but I never laughed.

an odd, mostly unfunny misfire from Simon Pegg & Edgar Wright. aside from the general lack of originality here (it's basically a cross between Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Wright's own Shaun of the Dead), this movie takes FOREVER to get started, with what must be at least 15 minutes of boring backstory inflicted on the viewer. and once it does get going, it still isn't especially good or interesting. of course, these are just MY OPINIONS. it is a comedy and comedy is certainly a genre that resists any kind of objective interpretation. but i found this movie both unfunny and uninteresting, so it didn't work for me. and a PS to this movie's defenders: if you really feel compelled to insult anyone who disagrees with you over this film, i'd like to politely suggest that you need help of some sort. it's just a movie. the fact that someone else doesn't like it is really not something you should lose sleep over.

Moderately amusing sci-fi comedy that takes a long time to get started. Attempts at insightful social commentary are hard to pick out of a mess of silly action sequences, but Simon Pegg is somewhat entertaining as Gary King, who seeks to relive the glory days of his youth.

Silly British comedy with some okay performances from Pegg and the others. Would not have been impressed if I had to spend money on seeing it.

Well-acted but pointless.

Very enjoyable and witty lines. Full of rudeness, farting, and bathroom humour I love so much. Thank goodness the library is not censored by the opinions of the majority or this gem may not have made it for inclusion in the library system.

Simon Pegg’s enormously unfunny alien invasion comedy, an idiotic blend of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Animal House, relies far too much on beer-soaked pratfalls and CGI mayhem instead of genuine wit. What humour there is consists mainly of guys getting progressively pissed and yelling a lot while the E.T. encounters are a pretty standard mix of kung fu moves and comically detached robot limbs. And Simon Pegg’s manic alcoholic loser is extremely annoying. A mid-life crisis flick that actually makes you glad you’re a grown-up.
