Since NYCDOE fails to teach our children what REALLY matters in life (it's not all about reading, writing , mathematics and Common Core) when I teach at various schools, I incorporate this book into the curriculum. Learning how to respect yourself, your fellow human beings, obeying rules and authority are an essential part of living a successful life. If our school system and our parents don't realize that teaching ethics are just as important to our children as understanding the Common Core, we will continue to morally decline as a society.
