As others have noted, this is a love story ... just happens to be between two men. Well worth watching.
Gay or straight, this is a film everyone should see. I stumbled across this film when I visited the library. This turned out to be one of the most memorable LGBT films I have seen in a while. This film goes beyond the LGBT genre, it is a touching story about love. I don't think it is possible to leave this film without a renewed appreciation for the loved ones in our lives and the value we can each bring to the world.

What Bridegroom celebrates is not simply gay rights; it’s the human spirit.
I challenge anyone to watch this with a dry eye. Despite some uneven pacing, the documentary picks up in the second half and presents a moving narrative about what happens when people choose adherence to religious tradition over love. It's sad, it's hopeful, and should prompt any social conservative to sit down and have a big think.
This film gave me hope for humanity, a true love story that supercedes gender and sexuality. R.I.P. Tom.
Sad to think that, in 2014, there still remain pockets of ignorant pettiness and bigotry in this world.
Very touching film, by the way.
