Andres, a boy eight years old lost his mother to a car accident and as a result was raised by relatives not as compassionate and kind as his mother. Andres finds that opponents of the Argentina dictatorship are possibly being tortured in a building near his home, but his grandmother, a backer of the dictatorship tries to convince him that what he saw was just a dream. Just as the grandmother tried to obscure Andres’ understanding, it seemed to me that the director of this film couldn’t choose between a story of the dictatorship and a story of coping with loss and so the concept of the film seemed unfathomable. Too bad because the story of the Argentina dictatorship is important in 20th century South America.
