Outstanding script, acting, production, design, cinematography. Copenhagen makes a lovely background.

Like the US system of government, it looks like Danish politicians are constantly "herding cats" to get things done with multiple parties and, in this series, fabulously varied personalities.

Excellent series although I still don't understand the political structure. Like the acting, the subjects & the treatment of the subjects. Way better than in the toilet US series.

Fascinating depiction of politics - intricate story line, many issues, excellent acting, beautifully shot. This is the absolute best show in many years. Compare this to the highly cynical House of Cards, and you'll surely conclude that Borgen is far better.

My all-time favourite tv show. Absolutely riveting! After a while I totally forgot I was reading subtitles. Very strong characters played by fantastic actors with an excellent script.

I love this show and can't recommend it enough. The second season is not as brilliant as the first but still great for the Kasper and Katrine plot.

superb! as an american, it is extra fascinating to learn how the parlimentarian system works... wish OUR politicians were as level-headed and eager to compromise as these tv Danes! Very well acted, never a dull episode-

Season 2 of Borgen is even better than Season One. Our main character, the Prime Minister, settles into her job, becomes an international peace maker all the while dealing with being a new single parent. She grows in her ability to find compromises that work for her and deal with men vying for her job. This series is a great study of power-who has it and how they use it and/or abuse it. The other story of her "spin doctor", his life and love affairs, is an interesting contrast of those whose lives revolve around people in power, are they destroyed, corrupted or ultimately enriched by this contact? Is it a job that serves their own ambitions? One funny detail is that our Prime Minister wears her "Power heels" even at home and never seems to take them off . Is this symbolic of her attachment to power? Everything about this series is so wonderful and engrossing that you mostly just forget about the subtitles. It runs 581 min. and shows just how good TV can really be.
