Frank Stolte was a long time resident of Mill Valley. This interview took place at his home in Greenbrae. This oral history is rich in daily life in Mill Valley (specifically Homestead Valley), local schools, living in the area of Stolte Grove, and stories about local residents and shops. He worked 28 years for the San Francisco Chronicle and Examiner as an advertising representative. After retiring he pursued his hobby of building and developing real estate. During World War II he worked in navel intelligence
