This book needs to be read widely! Thurgood as a young man was the example of a person who had no social advantages but 'never got that memo'. His winner's attitude to schooling, law study, and doing any kind of paying work at night (e.g., stock shelving)seems like a miracle and maybe it is. The fact that he was advanced rather than hung might have had something to do with his great height as will as his intelligence and the support of his family. What a man & what a book!
