Add a CommentI loved this book! Clean, proper romances are my thing and this was it! Sir Phillip was a charmer :)
I absolutely love this book! It is such a sweet love story. This is one I will read again and again.
I loved, loved, loved this book! It was one of the best romances I have read in a long time (and I've read several)! It had all of the elements to make it good - jealousy, anger, love, laughter, arrogance, modesty, etc.
Such a good book. I highly recommend it.
This is my favorite book ever, it had mention of god somewhat which I think is good. Also, Marianne and Phillip are so cute and Marianne is feisty. Phillip is awesome he is so corky and funny. The romance just made me melt. I was literally smiling everytime Phillip made Marianne blush.
Honestly this book just melted my heart. I felt so invested in the romance inside of this novel and just love it, I love it, I LOVE IT.
A cute love story. Usually, I'm very picky on how long a couple knows each other before they fall in love but I never had the urge to criticize this book.
I read to around page 20 and wanted to shelve it completely (I thought it was lacking) but figured I should keep going and I'm glad I did. The story's not sexual, very clean. Main character did frustrate me at times because she didn't understand very obvious things.
LOVED it!!! What a romance. Read it in a day, could not put it down. Very romantic and loving story.
Loved it. Couldn't put it down once I started. And as soon as I finished I wanted to read it again! A cute, clean, fun, easy read.
Regency is not usually my genre, but totally loved this delightfully romantic, and clean without being religious, Regency Romance.
This is again one of those debut books that convinces me that more often than not,an author's first book is such a labor of love, that it should not be missed.
Amazing skill that put me in the scene, and fantastic character development.
If you love witty verbal sparring/teasing between the romantic leads,as I do,then you will love Edenbrooke with Marianne and Philip.
I don't normally seek out romances in this genre because like the heroine in this story, talk of fabrics and lace bores to to the point of drowsing!Which is what I encountered when I tried to get into Georgette Heyer's books.
Believe me, I was totally captivated by this book, and it is the 'read in one sitting' type of book that I haven't come across in awhile.
Wonderful surprise and very highly recommended, especially for readers like me who appreciate finding a clean read that is free of all the 'god-talk' of Christian/Inspirational fiction.
What a horrible horrible book! The plot was weak, the characters were so poorly written that I was rooting against them, and the writing was horrible. If you want a Regency romance then skip this one and look for Georgette Heyer. I would give this book negative stars if I could.
