If you're a fan of the film, you'll probably love this book. But for fans of Marilyn Monroe, you might have a difficult time stomaching what Tony Curtis has to say about her. He mostly reiterates the point that by this time she was depressed, insecure, overweight, and doing drugs and drinking alcohol on set. Personally, I think he gives little credit to Marilyn towards the end of the book where he lists the people who were nominated or won an academy award. I find it really hard to believe he was unaware of Marilyn winning a Golden Globe for her performance. But I suppose that was quite a long time ago.____ By the time this book has been released, Jack Lemmon, Billy Wilder, Arthur Miller, and of course, Marilyn Monroe, are all dead. So that leaves us to assume that he's telling the truth about the affair between him and Marilyn. Perhaps this was released after the fact in respect to those involved. Still, it seems a bit underhanded.
