Great explanation of a specific technique

One of the best and only on this style of knitting. The book is dog eared from all the use. It is a challenging way of knitting for some however with amazing results.

I’m not a fan of any of the projects but it seems to be a good resource book. I haven’t tried Brioche yet so it’s hard to say for sure.

I own this book and although it has some very good photos and the detail is there, I found it very hard to make this book useful. For example I started the 2 colour brioche fingerless mitts which uses the increase of BrkYoBrk and it took me 15 minutes to find the instructions for this, which is not included in the Index or Table of Contents. One of the biggest flaws is a font used that should only appear on wedding invitations and this makes all level 2 type headings almost illegible. A friend and I agree this book, although full of information, is daunting and actually is discouraging for the new user. I would start with YouTube and some simple brioche patterns in order to learn this knitting technique. The book can be useful later on.

Photos included with detailed instructions for each step of the Brioche stitch and variations. The last third of the book is actual projects using these stitches. Yarn weight and needle size translations at the back.
