BBC interviewer Roy Mallard travels the country to talk to ordinary folk. Mallard has little or no skill as an interviewer, he is over-earnest, and after most of his voice-overs, you realize there's something slightly odd about what he's said. He's apt to talk nonsense and is so obviously unattractive there's a running joke that nobody can believe he's married

I found this clever, imaginative, and hilarious! I laughed out loud repeatedly even though I watched it alone. It was so funny and unique that I watched it a second time before returning. Be forewarned that it is British, with attendant subtlety and tone that requires paying attention. If you're looking for obvious humour with a laugh track, watch something American instead.

If you enjoyed the original Office series made in England, you will love this. Very clever and extremely witty!!

The humour comes more from the great awkward pauses and scenes than anything else, very British, so it might not be for everyone.

I love Ricky Gervais, but this mockumentary was pure genius, never stopped laughing. The fellow that plays "Roy Mallard" was nominated for several British awards, unfortunately, he was banned from going to the show[s] as he was convicted of possessing Child pornography. Three years in jail and he has not worked since.
If you can forget about the lurid past of this actor/writer, you will love this film.

Brilliant. British tongue-in-cheek, deadpan humour at its best.
