Released in 1940 - "Pinocchio" would be the 2nd American, animated, musical/fantasy feature film produced by Walt Disney Productions. Its story is based on the Italian children's novel "The Adventures of Pinocchio" written by Carlo Collodi.

The plot of the film involves an old wood-carver named Geppetto who carves a wooden puppet named Pinocchio. The puppet is brought to life by a blue fairy, who informs him that he can become a real boy if he proves himself to be "brave, truthful, and unselfish". Pinocchio's efforts to become a real boy involve encounters with a host of unsavory characters.

In its day - "Pinocchio" was a groundbreaking achievement in the area of effects animation, giving realistic movement to vehicles, machinery and natural elements such as rain, lightning, smoke, shadows and water.

This one has not aged well, complete with an art style that borders on caricatures, and some absolutely terrifying scenes, especially for young children.

When You Wish Upon a Star.... In this timeless Walt Disney classic from 1940, a wooden puppet made by a lonely, old wood-carver named Geppetto gets the chance to become a real boy thanks to the Blue Fairy.

Pinocchio is one of those rare motion pictures that can be enjoyed over and over again by adults as well as by children. If, as a grown-up, you remember Pinocchio as being just a "kid's show", watch it again. You'll be wonderfully surprised to see how truly entertaining it really is.

Pinocchio was brilliantly animated without the trickery of CGI. It also contains some very memorable musical numbers.

The interesting film lead children to the wonder world through excellent illustration. The film show that It is not easy to become a good boy. The most important thing is not mistakes we make, but how to make correct them, and get forgiveness. Picnochio, a wooden boy, is always loved by children.

One of the cutest Walt Disney animated movies. "Pinocchio" is filled with wonderful characters, my favorite being Jiminy Cricket. The cast includes Geppetto the woodcarver who made the puppet Pinocchio and his pets Figaro the cat and Cleo the fish. Of all the Disney classic cartoons, I think "Pinocchio" is the best since it teaches children the importance of honesty. "Pinocchio" will be a real live boy and along the way you will have a treasured story that your children will love to watch over and over again.
