Rated 9/10. I did like previous stories a bit better than this one, but all-in-all, still excellent.

So sorry this series has ended! I really enjoyed it. Helen Mirren is fantastic. She aged so well throughout this series. As I watched each episode I noticed she looked older as time went on (as it should be) also that the alcohol problem developed gradually. I would find myself thinking 'oh no, not another drink'!

Have to say I skipped some parts of the story where Detective Tennison dealt with her personal problems - alcoholism, a dying father, etc. The 'crime solving' part can be much shorter which is the part I have an interest in. Tennison is a flawed person; not exactly one you want your kids to look up to as a role model.

Fantastic. Helen Mirren is so wonderful - so believable.
