You need to suspend your belief about 3 times per page (works out to about 1,200 times) to get through it. I've read some of his other books and at first, I thought he must have written this over the course of 1 weekend. No substance to anything. Not the story. Not the characters - not a single worthy character in the entire story, from the married couple at the centre of the story, to their work colleagues, their lovers, her parents, their lawyers, the judge, prosecutor, cops, the killer. Negative stars

There were a few points that the story was a bit unbelievable but it was suspensful with some good twists that held up until the very end.
