I am going to be a new parent and thought this was incredibly informative. I read it cover to cover prior to having the baby and plan to check it out again once I have the baby. It gave a really good sense of what to expect, what to worry about, what not to worry about and just made me feel a bit more knowledgeable overall. It covers breastfeeding, formula, bottles, issues with latching, spit up, what goes in must come out, gas, sleep, crying, diapering, bath, clothing, daily learning, getting out of the house (cars, feet, and skies), when to be concerned for medical conditions, and capturing the early memories. I am a healthcare practitioner with an advanced degree and I thought the book was well written and informative, not too dry, and covered a lot of very practical things I can use when assessing should I be worried about something or is it actually very normal.

This book was great to have in the first few months of my son's life. Any time I was curious or worried about something, I would find it in this book. Very reassuring!

I liked this book so much that I bought it after reading it at the Library. This is a great book for a first-time Mom, and answers all of the little questions you might not know to ask at the hospital. Read this before your baby is born, you'll be too busy after!
