Nothing at All by Wanda Gag received the Caldecott Award in 1942 - the same year the King County Library System was formed.
The simple illustrations and wording tell the story of three dogs - two we see, one we can't. The two we see, are found by a boy and girl who take them home. But our poor little invisible one is left behind as it can't keep up.
Happily, it is found by a Jackdaw who has a magic book that has a section with instructions for "he who is Nothingy, yet wishes to be Somethingy"
