This is #4 in a series of books set in Rio de Janiero and that feature a Chief Inspector Espinosa; it’s not a bad story and I did not see the ending coming, as I did with the previous book in the series; and at last there’s a non-police character who appears in two books in a row; it’s also getting easier to ignore all that unnecessary inclusion of Rio street names; but this book does contain a lot of completely unnecessary description of what can be seen from various points in Río; tends to get in the way, though it might be fun if you’ve visited Río recently and have a good local map in hand
