I'm so sad at how this film ended. I wish Elling all the best. Now I've decided to get the original book (in English of course!) from Interlibrary Loans!

Thanks for carrying this lovely movie!

This movie is sweet, perceptive, different, and hilarious. Norwegians definitely can laugh at themselves, their culture, and their government without Hollywood makeup on. If you can grasp their subtle send up of themselves you will laugh with joy and, yes, occasionally find a tear in the corner of your eye as well.

delightful, amusing Norwegian film. 2 others that will make you smile are Kitchen Stories and O'Horten.

This is the "must" see movie when you need to laugh or not. I even own this movie. So funny :)

I really enjoyed this movie although, for me, it started out stronger than it ended. I would definitely see it again sometime in the future.

An insightful, uplifting film about friendship, mental illness and identity. Very funny, too!

Underwhelming feelgood foreign "dramedy". A few humorous situations and some funny dialogue didn't move this one along enough to hold my interest. I did finish watching it, but I could have taken it or left it overall. I was just never really drawn in by the characters enough to truly be moved by their successes or failures.
