One of Tanners early efforts written while he was in Ireland and it shows. I wrote him a note complaining about his geographic ignorance about the Mekong country and he did reply. His characters are fun to travel with and he does get the idiocy of the European influences in Southeast Asia right. Tanner is like most Americans very naive about Asia. My advice to him was to not write about a subject you haven't lived or at the least researched.
Originally published in 1968 as "Two for Tanner" but already in polished L. Block stylistic form with fast moving events, outrageous characters and actions. Thanks to publisher for this reprinting.
