A cute story. The most interesting thing was how Katie got her special abilities. Besides that, the book was ok. The ending was rather unsatisfactory, leaving a lot of the story still open-ended (and I don't believe there's sequel). Also, the pacing is very slow. Sure, there were interesting parts that made me keep reading, but at no one point in the novel does the story really grab you and not let go. The side characters didn't really get enough time to flesh out, with the only real character development coming from Katie herself. However, it was short and sweet, and the message it sent was nice. Not something I'll be reading again though.

It sends an intriguing message to people who are gifted and are mistreated sometimes. It means a lot to me since I am gifted and know how it feels to not be understood. Being different does not mean it is wrong and this book conveys that specific topic. It personally means a great amount to me. It is very memorable to gifted people because they understand what it actually means to be gifted and what it means to find someone who understands you. I thank my mom for helping me see that aspect of life. Thank you mom.

Have you ever felt people were staring at you and think you are "strange" and "weird?" Or that you seem not like them so they exclude you from activities? Well, Katie feels that way because of her eye color. Who is Miss. M? Can she be trusted? And who is Mr. C? And why is he interested in Katie? Did Katie do what her neighbors have accused her of? Read Katie's tale and you will find out. Enjoy!
