Beautiful endearing story that holds the child’s attention. This book (unlike the current modern trend to simplify everything for children) is full of rich language and detailed descriptions of the mountain goats natural habitats surroundings... geography, beautiful writing, all mixed into the sweetest story that all of the children I have ever read it to, Love!

I loved this book as a child and enjoyed reading it again as an adult. Bill Peet has a fabulous talent for story telling and illustrations.

A library member was looking for a book about a mountain goat that skied on his own horns. My colleague found Buford after a lot of searching. It's pretty cute.
