Historical figures often become greater than they were when historians assess their lives. Suetonius didn't do this with the first twelve Caesars. I'll admit his bias shows but it's still fun to read about a group of the most powerful men in ancient history who were often as flawed as anyone who has ever been exposed in People Magazine.
