I'm not sure what I expected when I borrowed this book, but I made my way through it by skimming passages about the professional side of psychoanalysis that did not hold my attention. Malcolm's personal reactions to the man's statements give more insight than his statements do. Clearly not a D-I-Y guide to psychiatry.
